Applications are now open for the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Block Grant.
The Wisconsin Maternal and Child Health, Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs, and Maternal and Infant Mortality Prevention Programs are releasing a funding opportunity for multi-year projects addressing the needs of mothers, children, and families in Wisconsin.
Priority Areas
The funding will advance the Title V priorities to:
- Advance equity and racial justice.
- Ensures access to quality health services.
- Cultivate supportive social connections and community environments.
- Enhance identification, access, and support for individuals with special health care needs and their families.
- Improve perinatal outcomes.
- Foster positive mental health and associated factors.
- Promoting optimal nutrition and physical activity.
Funding Categories
- Advancing Equity in Maternal and Child Health: Open-Ended Project Proposal Funding application survey: Anticipated award amount: Up to $500,000 per organization, total over two years.
- Community-Based Organization Capacity Building Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $300,000 over two years.
- Youth, Caregiver, and Family Engagement Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $50,000, per organization, per year, up to three years.
- Child Death Review and Fetal Infant Mortality Review Technical Assistance Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: up to $100,000 each for technical assistance to Child Death Review (CDR) and Fetal/Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) teams (agencies may apply for one or both; one agency may be awarded up to $200,000 if awarded for both CDR and FIMR).
- Infant Loss Grievance and Bereavement Services Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: up to $100,000 per year, up to three years.
- High Quality Perinatal Care Lead Coordinating Agency Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $120,000 per year, up to three years.
- Breastfeeding Equity Technical Assistance Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $120,000 per year, up to three years, to be distributed among one and three grantees.
- Community-Centered Action for Maternal, Fetal, and Infant Mortality Prevention: Implementing Recommendations from Mortality Reviews Funding application survey
- Medical Home Coordination for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $145,000 per year, up to three years.
- Youth Health Transition for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $145,000 per year, up to three years.
- Resource Centers for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $200,000 annually per region, per year, up to three years.
- Genetics Coordination for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: up to $75,000 per year, up to three years.
- Health Benefits Coordination for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $50,000 per year, up to three years.
- Peer Support Matching for Families of Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $150,000 per year, up to three years.
- Representative Participation and Health Equity Technical Assistance Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $100,000 per year, up to three years.
- Physical Activity and Nutrition Technical Assistance Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $120,000 per year, up to three years.
- Adolescent Well-Being Technical Assistance Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $120,000 per year, up to three years.
- Developmental Screening Technical Assistance Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: up to $125,000 per year, up to three years.
- Promoting Social Connections Funding application survey: Anticipated annual award amount: Up to $30,000 p er year, up to three years.
Funding Information
Anticipated award amount: Up to $500,000 per organization, total over two years.
Criteria
Any organization receiving funding from other sources – including other grants – can apply for these funding opportunities. However, remember that you will be required to provide a 75% match contribution for any Title V funds you may receive, and match cannot come from federal sources, such as other federal grants your organization may be receiving.
