The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency under the USDA, in Massachusetts, is seeking proposals from partners to develop a watershed assessment plan to support the National Water Quality Initiative.
The agreement will be with a qualifying, eligible organization that has expertise in watershed assessment plans and is specifically capable of using the assessment template found in this funding opportunity.
The partner will share similar goals with NRCS: Support Healthy Watersheds and Diverse Land Use Communities, protect communities and people through rehabilitated watershed structures, enhance and improve water quality and water quantity, and provide habitat for diverse and important fish and wildlife species.

- The project shall not exceed 18 months in duration. Applicants should plan their projects based on an estimated project start date of July 27, 2022.

- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education)
- Private institutions of higher education
