Deadline: 27-Jul-22
The U.S. Agency for International Development’s Office of Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN) and Office of Population and Reproductive Health (PRH) are pleased to issue the first Yemen Round under the Moving Integrated, Quality Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health Services, Voluntary Family Planning, and Reproductive Health Care (MNCH/FP/RH) to Scale (MOMENTUM) Annual Program Statement.
The Yemen Round will improve maternal, newborn, and child health outcomes in at least 20 Republic of Yemen Government (ROYG) districts by focusing USG assistance on improved access, utilization and quality of high impact Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH) services in selected governorates of the country. This project will build upon lessons learned and gains made through the current Systems Health and Resiliency Project (SHARP).
USAID’s goal for Yemen MOMENTUM is to improve maternal, newborn and child health outcomes.
Funding Information
- Under the Yemen Round, USAID may issue a single award with a ceiling up to US$48 million. The ceiling does not equate to the actual total award funding; further information will be included in the request for full applications for selected applicants and/or consortia.
- For the Yemen Round, the anticipated start date for the award(s) is on or about February 1, 2023.
Geographic Coverage: The Yemen MOMENTUM Round will emphasize a district level approach with focus on a minimum of 20 ROYG covered districts based on relevant criteria. This criteria first takes into consideration the security context and also includes but is not limited to population size, health indicators, and relevance to health programming in proposed district target governorates. Applicants will propose target districts to be approved in the final determination process. A review of geographic coverage will take place at least annually.
Eligibility Criteria
- Consortiums and individual organizations may submit concept papers.
- If a consortium concept note is submitted, sub-partners are not required to submit an additional stand-alone concept paper; however, organizations can also submit a solo concept paper to be considered independent of the consortium as well.
- Please note that a single organization may not submit more than one concept paper as a prime per Round.
- If an organization submits more than one concept paper to any Round, only the first received will be evaluated.
- For questions on this Yemen Round document, please submit all questions via email to the individuals at the e-mail addresses indicated on the cover page by the deadline specified on the Cover Page.
- Applicants may submit Yemen Round concept papers that present their proposed approach to achieve one or more of the MOMENTUM Results.
