The Sussex Community Foundation is pleased to announce a funding call for the Westdene Fund for individual young people (aged 16-25 years) in Sussex with outstanding musical talent.
Funding Information
Grants will be awarded of up to £1000.
What you can apply for?
Awards will be made to support a specific activity or object e.g.: consultation lessons, a masterclass, participation in a National Youth Orchestra, a County music tour, or a contribution to the cost of a better grade instrument.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are invited from individual young people who:
- Are 16+ years old and attend a school or college in Sussex (East & West, or Brighton and Hove)
- Have secured, or already taken up, a place at a recognised centre of excellence for musical education, or passed Grade 7 in their chosen instrument
- Are able to demonstrate a wide and continuing interest in music
- Intend to pursue a musical career
- Can demonstrate financial need
