The Region 2 Arts Council (R2AC) is pleased to announce the Young Artist Grant program for 8th-12th grade students who have a strong interest in the arts and reside in Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods or Mahnomen counties.
Students who are singers, musicians, writers, media artists, performers, visual artists and craftspeople are welcome to apply!
Funding Information
Grant recipients are reimbursed up to $600 for costs associated with arts instruction/mentorship, arts classes/camps/workshops in the state of Minnesota, and some related travel expenses or materials.
Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. citizen or have obtained permanent resident status in the U.S. and I have lived in one of the following Minnesota counties: Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods, or Mahnomen for at least 1 year prior to submitting this application.
- Have a physical address located in one of the following Minnesota counties: Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods or Mahnomen and will retain that address and remain a resident there throughout the grant period.
- Do not intend to use Young Artist Grant funds to relocate my legal address outside the geographic boundaries of Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods or Mahnomen Counties or outside the state of Minnesota.
- Currently an 8th-12th grade student attending either a public/charter/private school, enrolled in a PSEO program, or home-schooled.
- Have a strong interest and a history of engagement in the arts, and I am either self-trained or formally trained in my chosen arts discipline.
