The Association of Foreign Press Correspondents in the United States provides annual scholarships to professional foreign journalists who are currently enrolled in any full-time master’s level program of any U.S.- based academic institution.
The purpose of their annual scholarships is to support foreign journalists in the U.S. to enhance their skills through graduate-level programs of U.S.-based academic institutions in areas that are fundamental for their work as professional journalists in a rapidly changing global media environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible to apply for scholarships are only those who are:
- Professional journalists originated from foreign countries (U.S. citizens are not eligible to apply).
- They are currently enrolled in any Master’s level program in any US-based academic institution or they graduated from any Master’s level program of any US-based academic institution at any time in the year 2025.
- Applicants must meet the visa status requirements of their academic program.
- Master’s level studies, which will be considered for support, include but are not restricted to journalism, media relations, communications, film, videography, photography, visual arts, and other fields.
