Photographers from all over the world, prepare your cameras. The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is now accepting applications for the GLF Africa 2022 Photo Competition. Whether you’re a professional or amateur, nature or urban photographer, they love to see your perspective on the beauty and richness of this great continent.
Prizes
- Cash prizes of USD 400 (1st place), USD 300 (2nd place) and USD 200 (popular vote).
- A spread and interview in Landscape News.
- A showcase at the GLF Africa 2022 Digital Conference.
Outcome
- Finalist photos will be featured and shared across GLF platforms and products. After public voting, the most popular photos will be featured at GLF Africa 2022, with the winning photo receiving cash prize.
Eligibility Criteria
- The GLF Africa Photo Competition is open to anyone aged 18 or above, whether you’re a photo enthusiast or a professional photographer.
- By submitting the photo, the participant guarantees that their participation follows the rules and agrees with the terms of this competition.
- Photos that have previously won other photographic competitions will not be considered.
Evaluation Process
- A panel of judges selected by the GLF will select up to 25 photos from all eligible submissions received during the competition period. Please note that while one person can submit more than one photo, any single contributor can have just one finalist photo. Finalists will be chosen based on the following criteria:
- Creativity
- Photographic quality
- Composition
- Execution of theme
- On 20 May, the finalist photos will be published on GLF platforms, and the public will have the opportunity to vote on the photos they like best. The submission that receives the highest number of votes during the voting period will be deemed the popular vote winner, subject to verification and compliance with these official rules. The winner will be announced on the GLF website and social media channels in June 2022. All finalists will have their images featured on GLF platforms.
