Deadline: 20-Jun-22
The Goethe-Institut is seeking applications from the Journalists to bring the modern and accessible media, scientific knowledge into conversation with people living in the MENA region.
This programme supports journalists from the MENA region to expand their journalistic skills and thereby strengthen the often marginalised field of science journalism. Participants are given creative opportunities to practice reputable and accessible science journalism and centre socially relevant topics within mainstream print and online media.
This promotes diversity of topics and journalists within the media world and helps to engage populations in social debates and meaningful dialogue. Journalism that is close to the people in its practice and based on accurate scientific research can help combat the rise of fake news and instead raise widespread interest in science.
