Open Call for Teachers: Co-Development Session MLCE

Media Smart: Spotting Truth in a Fake News World for Non-Journalists

Deadline: 8-May-23

The MediaLitercy in the Classroom (MLCE) project is looking for you! Are you a teacher of primary or secondary education? Do you have an awareness of media literacy or experience with teaching about media literacy? Are you comfortable expressing your opinions in English? If yes, make sure answer to this call!

European Schoolnet is looking for 25 teachers to participate in an online co-development session on May 23, 2023,. The aim is to explore the most effective approaches and resources used to teach media literacy to youth, as well as identify the needs of teachers to enhance media literacy in young people.

The Media Literacy Case for Educators project is an EU-funded project that aims to sustainably scale Media Literacy in Europe and to empower teachers, educators and librarians across Europe to be innovative, future-fit advocates of Media Literacy. As one of the first steps in the project, online exchanges are organised with educators, young people and ministers of Education to better understand effective methods to enhance media literacy among young people.

The project is coordinated by Tactical Tech in cooperation with European Schoolnet (EUN), Save the Children Italy and International Federation of Library Associations (NL).

After participating in the co-development session, the participants will be offered the fully funded opportunity to participate in the Media Literacy Champion Training-of-Trainers course for teachers which will take place in Brussels in the spring/early summer of 2024.
