The School of Data Kyrgyzstan launches the third online LAMPA Accelerator.
LAMPA Accelerator is a sponsored and mentored program for creating data stories. This is financial and mentoring support for the creation of data stories that reflect the problems of the countries of Central Asia, the Caucasus and Eastern Europe.
This year, the focus of the LAMPA Accelerator will be on how the war in Ukraine has affected their countries.
Topics
They invite you to explore the following topics:
- How sanctions against Russia have affected your country
- How Russian companies circumvent sanctions through neighboring countries
- How the unstable Russian economy affects migrant workers
- How relocants affect the lives of citizens of host countries
Funding Information
- Amount: total prize pool of $16,000
- Duration: 4 months
What countries do they accept applications from?
Applications can be submitted by citizens and residents of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
Eligibility Criteria
- Journalists, editors, data analysts, civil activists, developers, data enthusiasts. Experience in creating data materials is not required, but is an advantage. Preference is given to data story ideas that are important to multiple countries.
- Individuals and teams can apply. The limit of participants in one team is up to 5 people.
