The call for renewal of the South African NGO sector towards pledge and activism has been announced. All national NGO sectors and networks of South Africa are invited to this inaugural consultative process.
This is a call to begin the long journey of re-uniting and revitalizing NGOs to reclaim their rightful place in the ongoing democratic project. The last date for the call is 5 March 2018 while the first forum will take place in Johannesburg on 29 March 2018. The venue will be announced in due course.
The forum is aimed at opening the debates, discussions and exploration of the form and character of the revitalized and unified voice of the NGO Sector in South Africa, contributing ideas, positions and strategies towards the national NGO Week / Indaba for the relaunch of the national platform and voice of the sector and developing common platform and pledge towards the revival of the coordinated NGO sector in South Africa.
