Applicants are invited to apply for the ‘Innovation Challenge Competition’ that encourages people to develop and share ideas for enhancing inclusive participation in conflict resolution.
Innovation for conflict resolution is a collaborative platform that should foster the development of new approaches to ongoing conflict resolution. They are looking for innovative creative ideas for enhancing inclusive participation in conflict resolution in Ukrainian society.
Priorities
- Strengthening social cohesion and raising the level of trust in society;
- Facilitating the resolution of conflicts of different types through innovative approaches;
- Creating infrastructure for dialogue between different communities;
- Encouraging innovative, concrete ideas for local issues to enhance inclusiveness and meaningful participation of women in conflict resolution;
- Providing new impetus to ongoing conflict resolution processes;
- Building new partnerships, involving new entrants and preparing a new generation of conflict resolution specialists.
Award Information
The award is a $ 10,000 grant. Grant will be provided by at least one, but not more than three, strongest teams by the decision of the jury. If necessary, the jury may decide to distribute rewards among several teams.
Participation Criteria
- An interdisciplinary team of at least 3 participants with a gender balance (at least one female participant for a team of 3 persons, at least 30% of female participants – for a team of more than 3 people) may participate in the competition;
- At least one person in the team must speak English at the level necessary for a public presentation;
- The focus of the idea presented to the competition should be focused on the causes and consequences of conflicts in Ukraine;
- Ideas or proposed initiatives cannot distribute or support the ideology and/or position of political parties;
- The team must be affiliated with a public organization (at least one member of the team must represent a public organization);
- Teams must choose the leader (leader) of the team, whose email address must be clearly indicated in the application. All announcements and announcements will be sent to this e-mail address;
- Participation in the competition implies that the team and each of its participants fully agree with these terms.
Selection Criteria
- The idea promotes new, extraordinary ways of engagement and contributes to the implementation of the conflict resolution and security agenda.
- The proposed solution involves conflict resolution of participants (especially women) who have traditionally been removed from this process.
- Zoom and Reproducibility. The idea can be scaled or tested in the context (in other communities and regions of Ukraine).
- Promoting community involvement.
- The proposed solution provides for the possibility of implementation and implementation in cooperation with local and regional authorities.
