Deadline: 13-Mar-2018
Applications are now open for the Australia-China Agricultural Cooperation Agreement (ACACA) Program 2018 grant opportunity. ACACA is a treaty-level agreement signed in 1984 between the Australian and Chinese governments and the ACACA program operates under this agreement.
Funding priorities agreed between the Australian and Chinese Governments for 2018 and 2019 are:
- eCommerce innovation
- sustainable agricultural technology
- sanitary and phytosanitary training
- agricultural products processing
- commodity production research
- science and technology cooperation
- post-harvest storage and waste
- animal husbandry
- food safety
- trade and investment cooperation
- exploration of niche markets
- advanced agriculture technologies
- water in agriculture
There are two streams of activities:
- Stream 1—funding to undertake an eligible project in Australia and/or China.
- Stream 2—funding to cover travel costs for trade missions to China.
All funded activities under both streams must meet program objectives and priorities. Funds are limited under this program and meeting eligibility or merit criteria does not guarantee funding. Due to the competitive, merit-based process, there may be only one recipient per stream of funding.
