Call for Nominations: 2021 L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards

Grants to Strengthen Inclusive Science and Innovation Systems

Nominations are now open for the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards to support eminent women in science throughout the world.

Each year, five Laureates are recognized for their contributions to the advancement of science, in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science in alternating years.

Since the beginning of the programme in 1998, the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards have honored 112 laureates, including three who won the Nobel Prize. So far, one woman from south Asia has received this prestigious award: Prof. Indira Nath (India) in 2002 for her work on the treatment of leprosy.
