Deadline: 7-November-2025
Organisations and businesses across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire now have the opportunity to apply for Nestrans Sustainable Travel Grant designed to support local projects and initiatives.
Grants will typically range from £500 to £10,000 and must be used within the current financial year. This funding aims to encourage investment, innovation, and community benefit across a wide range of sectors and activities within the region.
Successful applicants can receive up to 50% of their total project costs through this grant scheme. Funding will be awarded net of any recoverable Value Added Tax (VAT), meaning applicants must account for VAT that can be reclaimed. Importantly, recipients are required to secure the remaining match funding themselves. This contribution must include some financial input directly from the applicant and cannot rely entirely on other grant schemes.
The funding opportunity is open to any organisation or business based in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire. Eligible applicants include charities, not-for-profit groups, public sector agencies, and private enterprises operating within the area. Applications may also be made on behalf of specific workplaces, departments, or sections within a larger organisation, as well as for commercial or public service premises. Private residences, however, are not eligible under this scheme.
This grant program offers a valuable opportunity for local organisations to access financial support that can help strengthen operations, improve facilities, or develop new initiatives that benefit the region. By encouraging joint investment and partnership, the scheme promotes sustainable growth and ensures that the funding delivers lasting impact across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
