Applications Open for Kanthari Leadership Training Program

Applicants are invited to apply for the Kanthari Leadership Training Program.

The Program located in Thiruvananthapuram by the scenic Vellayani Lake, kanthari offers a unique 7-month residential training course with a tailor-made curriculum, where participants are given hands-on learning, on what it takes to turn an idea for social change into reality. This scholarship based leadership program for visionaries who have overcome adversity and who are keen to drive ethical social change anywhere in the world.

The course is especially designed for future kantharis and cannot be compared with any postgraduate study. Previous formal education is not necessarily required. Participants who apply for this program have to be committed to a dream and a plan to create a mindset change in their community.

The result of such project is positive social change or awareness. The participants have to be highly motivated, driven and creative in order to let their projects become reality.

Qualifications

  • Applicants will need to have a plan for a social project/venture that will create a mindset change in their community.
  • Applicants will need to be 22 years of age or older
  • Intermediary knowledge of English (reading, writing and speaking)
  • Basic knowledge of using a computer
  • High energy, flexibility, creativity
  • For people in wheelchairs: independent mobility and daily living skills
  • For blind and/or partially sighted people: excellent mobility skills, being able to use the white cane.
