HBF is excited to announce its Community Grants Program.
Purpose of Grants Program
- Under the Community Grants Program (Grants Program), HBF agrees to provide Grants in accordance with these terms and conditions.
- The purpose of the Grants Program is for HBF to help organisations and charities in their community make a tangible and lasting positive difference to the health of West Australians.
Funding Information
- The maximum Grant HBF will award to any Grant Recipient is $10,000 per annum.
- HBF does not normally support conferences, seminars, presentations or activities and events which are themselves fundraising. Preference will be given to opportunities that:
- Activities that address recognised chronic health conditions which impact a significant portion of the WA community.
- Initiatives that can demonstrate a tangible community benefit in the area of health and wellbeing.
- Opportunities providing scope for HBF employee involvement, through volunteering or fundraising activity.
- Activities that can provide specific and measurable outcomes.
- Initiatives demonstrating good governance, financial management and accountable leadership.
- Partnerships that have the potential to include additional benefits for HBF members.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible to receive a Grant, an Applicant must:
- Be an Australian registered charitable organisation, with a physical presence in WA.
- Have been operating for at least 2 years.
- Have an annual turnover between $50,000 – $5M. Applications outside this operating
- Amount will only be accepted at HBF’s discretion.
- Complete an application in line with the open dates.
- Propose an initiative that seeks to clearly improve the health of West Australians and do so sustainably
- HBF reserves the right to consider Applicants that do not fall within the eligibility criteria.
- There is a limit of one Application on behalf of each organisation. If unsuccessful, an organization can resubmit an Application the following year.
- Applications by or on behalf of any organisations controlled by any officers, employees or contractors of HBF or any members of the immediate families of such persons cannot be considered.
General Criteria
- Applications must not contain any information, images or other material:
- That is inaccurate or misleading or deceptive in any material respect;
- in respect of which a third party holds the Intellectual Property Rights where the Applicant has not obtained all necessary consents to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate or otherwise use the material for the Grants Program and to grant to HBF the licences in respect of that material set out in these terms and conditions;
- that is discriminatory, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, liable to incite racial hatred,in breach of confidentiality or privacy, which may cause annoyance or inconvenience to others, which encourages or constitutes conduct that would be deemed a criminal offence, give rise to a civil liability, or otherwise is contrary to the law in Australia;
- That is harmful in nature including computer viruses, Trojan horses, corrupted data, or other potentially harmful software or data; or
- That may be used in connection with spamming, spimming, phishing, trolling or similar activities.
- Applications must not contain the name, likeness, image and/or voice of another person without that person’s permission (or in the case of a minor, the minor’s parent or legal guardian).
- HBF will fully co-operate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requiring it to disclose the identity or other details of any person contravening the requirements.
- HBF reserves the right to require an Applicant to verify the validity of their Application.
