U.S. Embassy Prague is proud to announce a special grant competition highlighting 100 years of U.S.-Czech Friendship! U.S. Embassy Prague is currently inviting institutions, organizations and individuals to submit projects for funding consideration through their special grant round competition.
U.S. Embassy Prague is seeking proposals with outstanding merit that highlight next year’s Centennial of U.S.–Czech relations (1918-2018) and that foster mutual cooperation in areas including:
- Democracy, Good Governance, and Rule of law
- Educational Initiatives (English language and American studies)
- Cultural programming (music, dance, film, theatre, photography, art)
- Human Rights, Minority Integration and Strengthening Civil Society
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Environment, Science and Technology
- Gender Equality
Funding Information
In this special grant round proposals should not exceed a budget of $15,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only not-for-profit entities and projects will be considered for funding. Individuals are eligible to apply.
- Budgets must not exceed $15,000.
- Institutions and individuals must have a proven track record of executing superior events, workshops, programs, etc.
- Proposals must be focused on audiences in the Czech Republic.
- Proposals should focus on highlighting the Centennial of U.S. – Czech relations in one or more of the Embassy’s priority themes and initiatives (mentioned above).
- Note: The Embassy does not provide awards outside of their funding priorities.
- Pre-applications must comply with the submission criteria.
