Applications are now open for the Dierenpark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund to support nature conservation and species preservation around the world.
For example: financial support of projects for endangered species, supporting research for veterinary medicine, reforestation projects, or helping to shelter animals.
The goal of the foundation DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund is the protection of nature and in particular endangered species.
Project Criteria
- The project contibutes to the conservation of an endangered species, among others by protecting the natural habitat and via local education programmes
- The species addressed in this project are part of the animal collection in Amersfoort Zoo
- The application should cleary reflect the involvement of the local community
- The local involvement of NGO’s and /or universities in the implementation of the project should be clearly demonstrated in the application
Other Criteria
- The application should preferably be submitted with the input from someone in the region where the project will be implemented
- The project applicant has good references
- The project use a long term planning which ensures continuity
- They prefer projects that make nature conservation concrete, so please indicate clearly how many children you will reach if you request an education project, or how many trees you will plant if you do a reforestation project.
- Applications received after the deadline will be saved until the next board meeting. They are a small organization, so it may take longer before you receive a response to your request.
- The DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund depends on donations and therefore unfortunately cannot honor all projects.
- In the past, project applications were granted for amounts ranging from 1.000 to 5.000 euro. Please note, if you request a higher amount, make sure you have a well-founded budget to support your application.
