Applications are now open for the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) to support projects proposed by regionally grounded organizations such as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and local governments.
Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) is a form of financial assistance extended by the Japanese government to developing nations.

Funding Information
- A standard maximum grant limit per project is NAD 950,000.00 (Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Namibian Dollars). Please consult with the embassy of Japan if the quoted costs exceed the standard limit.
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-profit organizations that implement community-based economic and social development projects in Namibia are encouraged to apply. Non-profit organizations here include local or international NGOs, local governments, educational institutions, and medical institutions.
- The proposed project site must be located within Namibia.
- In principle, individuals and for-profit organizations are not recognized as grant-recipient organizations. Still, consideration will be given when they provide public services, such as medical institutions, schools, or humanitarian aid.
