The United States Department of State Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) is seeking proposals from eligible organisations for its 2018 NGO projects benefiting non-Syrian refugees in Turkey.
Proposed activities should primarily support non-Syrian refugees in Turkey. PRM will consider funding only those projects that include a target beneficiary base of at least 51 percent non-Syrian refugees and asylum seekers.
Focus Sectors
Proposals must focus on the protection sector, including but not limited to the following activities:
- Information dissemination to beneficiaries and service providers on refugee and asylum seeker rights under international laws and norms for their protection, benefits, and responsibilities;
- Direct beneficiary assistance services to strengthen and/or facilitate access for vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers to registration, health care, education, shelter, translation services, legal counseling, work permits, job placements, and/or emergency cash assistance;
- Child protection interventions and/or psychosocial support services, particularly for cases of unaccompanied/separated children, children in contact with the law, children released from orphanages, and working children, under international laws and norms for their protection.
Grant Information
Project proposals must not be less than $500,000 per year and no more than $800,000 per year or they will be disqualified.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Applicants
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with IRS, other than institutions of higher education;
- Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status with IRS, other than institutions of higher education;
- International Organizations.
- Cost Sharing or Matching: Cost sharing, matching, or cost participation is not a requirement of an application in response to this funding announcement.
