The Magdalen Hospital Trust is seeking applications for funding from organisations working with vulnerable children and young adults, especially those at risk of sexual and other forms of exploitation.
The Magdalen Hospital was established in 1758 in South London ‘to provide women and girls on the streets a safe, desirable and happy retreat from their wretched and distressful circumstances’.
Funding Information
Range of Grants: Usually £500 – £2,000.
All applicants will be notified of decisions after the relevant Trustees’ Meeting.
Types of Grants
Usually one-off although longer-term proposals will be considered very occasionally.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Trust prefers to fund project costs rather than core costs.
- Projects can include those that provide training for work and personal development, clubs, crime prevention, emergency care, play schemes, mental health support and counselling.
- No grants are given to:
- individuals,
- non-registered charities,
- national charities,
- charities with an annual income in excess of £150,000,
- overseas charities with no links to a UK charity,
- general funds and administration.
