The grant competition “For strengthening public safety in the target communities of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Zhytomyr regions” is administered by ISAR Unity for funding the UN Program for the Restoration and Peacebuilding. Funding under the grant competition will be provided with the support of the European Union, the governments of Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
This call for proposals is designed to support project initiatives to implement a community-based approach to public safety. According to this direction, the competition allowed organizations registered and operating in the target communities of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Zhytomyr regions (territories controlled by the Government of Ukraine).
The Programme’s activities are grouped by the following key components of the Program that reflect the region’s priority needs:
- Component I: Economic Recovery and Restoration of Critical Infrastructure;
- Component II: Effective Local Government and Government Decentralization Reform;
- Component III: Public Security and Social Cohesion.
Funding Information
- the maximum grant amount for projects that do not include investments in infrastructure development – 81,000 hryvnias ;
- the maximum grant amount for projects that do not include investments in infrastructure development, but cover 3 or more target communities – 121,500 hryvnias ;
- The maximum grant for projects that include infrastructure component 162 000 hryvnia only for the following communities: Lugansk region : Gold, Trohizbenka, Popasna, Stanitsa Luganskaya and community Stanichno Luhansk region, m.Schastya, s.Rayhorodka, s.Muratove, p. Grechyshkine, Novoaydar district; Donetsk region: Svitlodarsk, future Sartanskaya OTG, Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, Novgorodske, Avdiivka.
Projects that will be implemented at the expense of this grant competition must be implemented in the target communities, namely:
- 16 target communities of Donetsk region:
- future Dobropilska OTG, future Druzhkivska OTG, Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Slovyansk, Siverska OTG, Soledarska OTG, Novhorodske, Svitlodarsk, Mangushskyi district, future Volnovaska OTG, Vugledarska OTG, future Sartanka , Avdiivka.
- 9 target communities of Zaporizhia region:
- Berdyansk, communities of Berdyansk district, Melitopol, communities of Melitopol district (Novenskaya OTG, Semenovskaya OTG), Azov OTG, Primorska OTG, Kyrylivska OTG, Yakymivska OTG.
- 16 target communities of Luhansk region:
- Lozno-Oleksandrivska OTG, Privolskaya OTG, Trinity OTG, Nizhnoduvanska OTG, Belovodskaya OTG, Popasna, Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Kreminna, Krasnorechenska OTG, Milovskiy, Stanichno-Luhansk, Zoobodar, Zooboidar
- 4 target communities of Dnipropetrovsk region:
- Nikopol, Novomoskovsk, Pavlograd, as well as the Dnieper.
- 7 target communities of Zhytomyr region :
- Chervonenska OTG, Novoborivska OTG, Vysokivska OTG, Zhytomyr OTG, Novograd-Volynska OTG, Baranivska OTG, Semenivska OTG.
Requirements to the competition participants and the territory of the competition
Public or charitable organizations that will submit project proposals under this Call must meet the following requirements:
- be officially registered with the status of a legal entity in the target communities of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Zhytomyr regions under the control of the Government of Ukraine;
- have the status of non-profit (only non-profit codes 0032, 0034, 0036, 0038, 0039 or 0048);
- have appropriate specialists and project staff for its implementation (project manager, financial specialist / accountant and other specialists according to the needs of the project). If the involvement of specialists is envisaged only if the project proposal is supported, the descriptive application must contain key requirements that will be nominated to each of the specialists provided by the project (profile education, work experience, etc.).
