The U.S. Embassy Nassau’s Public Diplomacy Section is pleased to announce an open competition for assistance awards that create partnerships to promote common objectives and exchanges between the United States of America and The Bahamas.
Some examples of projects include (but are not limited to) the following areas:
- Entrepreneurship programs which support the empowerment of women and girls.
- Promoting a more inclusive society.
- Integrating marginalized groups or individuals into communities.
- Preparing Bahamian youth to become future leaders in a global economy.
- Promoting environmental conservation and combating climate change.
- Supporting the work of Bahamian civil society organizations in areas of mutual U.S.- Bahamas interest.
- Expanding exchanges that provide audiences in The Bahamas (with a focus on youth, women, and marginalized communities) a deeper understanding of the US and shared values with The Bahamas.
Eligibility Criteria
- Civil society organizations, NGO’s and Individuals are invited to submit proposals to support activities directly aimed at improving communities, providing new opportunities for citizen participation, and promoting and developing issues of public interest.
