The Horizon Bank is seeking applications for its Community Grant Program to support projects and programs that align with their values, and are making a significant contribution to the community and the lives of others.
Funding Information
- Grants are available of up to a maximum amount of $5,000 (including GST) per application.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following groups are eligible to apply:
- Community groups
- Incorporated not-for-profit organisations
- Registered charities
- They encourage you to apply if the project:
- Will create benefits for the community
- Is likely to become self-sustaining over time
- Has the ability to transfer skills and knowledge
- May be considered innovative, or a “first” within your community
- Meets a real need or solves a community problem
Ineligibility Criteria
- The Horizon Bank Community Grants Program will consider groups ineligible if it:
- May be construed as discriminatory
- Contributes to the financial gain of an individual or business
- Could be detrimental to public health or safety
- Promotes or encourages substance abuse or gambling
- Could present a hazard or cause offence to the community or the environment
- Is of a religious or political nature
- Uses funds for food collection or dissemination projects
- Receives sponsorship or funding from another financial institution
- Is being used for running costs, meals, travel or accommodation expenses
- Is for an event sponsorship
- Could be misinterpreted as a bribe or kickback
- Has received a Horizon Bank Community Grant within the last 2 years
