The Fenland District Council’s Glassmoor Local Environment Fund is a small grants fund available to groups in Whittlesey, Coates, Eastrea, Pondersbridge and Ramsey Mereside and the surrounding area to fund projects that improve the environment and enhance residents’ knowledge of an environmental issue.

Funding Information
- Over the 25-year lifetime of the project around £437k will be added to the fund (fluctuating according to RPI).
- Typically, successful bids are of a maximum of around £10,000, but there is no formal maximum bid.
Ineligible Projects
- The following will not be funded:
- Bids from ‘for profit’ organisations
- Bids from individual households
- Fulfilment of statutory duty, running costs or maintenance
- Projects that won’t have enough environmental or educational benefit
- Projects where the works have been completed prior to approval
Eligibility Criteria
- Constituted community groups or organisations (with a written constitution – or governing document – which sets out rules on how the organisation is run) can apply for funding, including volunteer groups, town and parish councils and charities.
