UN Women has announced a call for proposals for Combating violence against women and girls in Morocco.
Funding Information
- The budget range of the proposal must correspond to the following amount (250,000 MAD – 300,000 MAD).
Timeframe
Start and end date of required services / results [please specify].
- The proposed action plan may have a duration of 9 months from October 2020.
- It must be completed and completed by June 31, 2021 at the latest
Required Services & Results
- The interventions expected from the implementing partner fall within the strategic priority “Combating violence against women and girls” of the UN Women work plan. Interventions will help to increase the knowledge of men and boys, challenge discriminatory norms and stereotypes and pay attention to masculinity and changes in men’s roles and promote positive masculinities, and push for social norms favorable to gender equality.
Competencies of the implementing partner (NGO):
- Technical and operational skills required:
- The organization should demonstrate the following skills:
- Excellent knowledge of women’s rights and mastery of the gender approach,
- Experience in promoting gender equality,
- Experience in support and advice on the theme of positive masculinities,
- Experience working with universities, civil society, youth organizations,
- Knowledge of women’s human rights and the transformation of power relations between men and women
- Experience in organizing awareness-raising and / or capacity building activities in the area of positive masculinities and capacity building for young men and women.
- The organization should demonstrate the following skills:
- In addition to the above-mentioned skills, the implementing partner should propose a project management team composed of the following profiles:
- A profile with solid experience (minimum 10 years) in the management of development projects;
- A profile with solid experience (minimum 10 years) in pedagogical approach, gender, youth awareness;
- A profile with proven experience (minimum 5 years) in administrative and financial management
- An expert profile in the production of audiovisual communication media
- Other skills, which, although not required, may be an asset for carrying out interventions / achieving results
- Experience in the making / production and dissemination of high quality audiovisual communication media such as videos and documentaries would be a desirable asset.
