The Asian Community Trust (ACT) is accepting project proposals from the Philippines for its Grant program 2017 with an aim to build a “Bridge of Mutual Help and Resource Sharing” in civil societies across Asia. To pursue this aim, ACT assists projects developed by local people, NGOs and other civil society organizations with the purpose of improving people’s quality of life in their own communities and sharing their successes with others.
Project Criteria
- Education
- Project beneficiaries: Children and youth under difficult circumstances living in urban, rural (including fishing villages) and upland areas
- Area of focus: Formal / informal education (Please note that life skill trainings, art and sports activities and vocational trainings are not included)
- Project costs: From JPY 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 (approx. PHP. 465,766 to PHP. 931,532. based on the exchange rate as of 8th November 2016: 1PHP=2.147JPY) per year and per project
- Duration of ACT grant: Up to three (3) years, depending on the nature of the project. Continuation of funding is based on the results of its performance upon evaluation.
- Agriculture, Rural Development
- Project beneficiaries: Marginalized farmers (economically challenged farmers)
- Area of focus: Agriculture, Rural Development
- Project costs: Up to JPY 1,000,000 (around PHP. 465,766 based on the exchange rate as of 8th November 2016) per year and per project
- Duration of ACT grant: Up to two (2) years, depending on the nature of the project. Continuation of funding is based on the results of its performance upon evaluation.
- Health and Medicine
- Project beneficiaries: People in need of basic medical and health care services
- Area of focus: Health and Medicine
- Project costs: Up to JPY 1,000,000 (around PHP. 465,766 based on the exchange rate as of 8th November 2016) per year and per project
- Duration of ACT grant: Up to three (3) years, depending on the nature of the project. Continuation of funding is based on the results of its performance upon evaluation.
