The Nordic Welfare Center (NWC) is seeking applications for Networking Activities 2022 to help organisations of people with disabilities in the Nordic countries to exchange experience and knowledge, develop projects or build up partnerships with their equivalent organisations.
Networking activities with participants from at least three Nordic countries, or two Nordic countries and at least one Baltic State or one region in Northwest Russia. The activity must have a specific programme and take place in the Nordic region, the Baltic region or Northwest Russia.

Funding Information
- Through our funding scheme, the Nordic Welfare Centre distributes around SEK 1.5 million every year in order to promote cooperation between organisations of people with disabilities in the Nordic region.
- Activities can receive funding of up to SEK 5,000 per Nordic country and up to SEK 10,000 kronor per Baltic State or region in Northwest Russia. In addition to this are additional expenses resulting from disabilities.
Activities
Networking activities can for example include:
- Advocacy policy meetings between managers, directors or other representatives of national disabled people’s organisations.
- The meetings must have a specific agenda linked to the exchange of experience, shared and specific goals relating to advocacy policy and continual further development of the co-operation. Travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses must be reasonable, but may be adjusted to take account of any needs attributable to disability.
- Start-up meetings or gatherings to examine the scope for informal Nordic or Nordic-Baltic networks or the formalisation of Nordic co-operation between organisations, teams or other civil society stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria
- National organisations, associations and groups and networks of national organisations, associations and groups – of, for and with persons with disabilities or chronic diseases. Foundations that have objects, activity and participation that are similar in nature to those of member-based organisations may be considered.
- All applicants and co-operation partners must be founded upon democratic values concerning equal rights and equality, equal opportunities and antidiscrimination.
- A single stakeholder must be formally responsible for the application. This stakeholder must be resident in the Nordic region or a Baltic State.
