The UN Women has announced the proposals for Small Grant Advertisement under the Spotlight Initiative to support the expansion of the technical substantive capacity of national, local and grassroot women’s rights organisations, and other organisations working on Family Violence (FV) and Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG).
The European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) have embarked on a new, global, multi-year initiative focused on eliminating all forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG) – The Spotlight Initiative. The Grenada Spotlight Initiative is designed to focus attention, coordinate human effort, and strategically apply resources to the implementation of a well-conceived comprehensive national programme to contribute to end family violence and all forms of violence against women and girls in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security, plans to award up to 4 small grants to eligible organisations in Grenada.
