- foster cross-cultural awareness, language diversity, understanding and respect; and
- enable multicultural communities, including new and emerging communities, to celebrate and showcase their talents and traditions through cultural performances (dance, music and language) and in other meaningful ways.

- Organisations applying under the Cultural Showcase category can expect to receive an amount that reflects the proposed showcase program, noting that each showcase may be different in size and duration. The amount granted will be determined based on the showcase size, draft showcase program and will take into account the cost associated with engaging culturally relevant performers (particularly if performers are based interstate or overseas).
