The Thonock Trust has announced grants to improve the lives and wellbeing of those living in Gainsborough, Corringham, Blyton, Springthorpe and Lea through the provision of education, training, activities and personal development.
Funding & Duration Information
- Grants to groups are for a maximum of £2,000 in any one year.
- Grants to individuals are for a maximum of £250.
- Payments are normally made in advance.
- All funds to be spent within a year of receipt.
Eligible Funding
- The Trust can fund projects that benefit people still ifull-timeme education (primary and secondary schools, further education establishments), that want to encourage educational or cultural activities which are not a statutory responsibility.
- We can fund local projects that encourage and/or assist more people to become involved in local community activities.
- We can fund projects that help build a group or individual’s capacity through training, skill sharing, and best practice sessions.
- We can provide funding to cover activity costs eg equipment, travel and associated costs.
- Individuals who need funds to allow them to get back into the workplace or training (uniforms, course material, or equipment).
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible groups are:
- Small Voluntary or Community organisations. This may include charities, companies limited by guarantee, and social enterprises. Othenot-for-profitit organisations may also be eligible;
- Locally run and managed. We are unlikely to fund applicants that are local branches of a larger regional or national organisation, unless they have their own bank account and management committee;
- Educational establishments (schools, colleges, adult education, excluded kids sites);
- Individuals that want to get back into work, training, or education.
