Deadline: 14-Sep-22
The Noosa Council is accepting applications for Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) to support the development of local arts and culture.
It supports local arts and cultural development opportunities by providing one-off, short-term, project-based financial assistance.
Objectives
RADF objectives are to support arts and cultural activities that:
- Build local cultural capacity, cultural innovation and community pride
- Build cultural skills and experiences
- Provide opportunities for applicants to deliver on Council’s strategic goals and identified key initiatives Deliver Queensland Government’s objectives for the community.
- Provide public value for Queensland communities
- Distribute funding in an equitable, transparent, sustainable manner
Priorities
Noosa Council has set the following two RADF priorities for Rounds 18 and 19. Up to 50% of the RADF funding pool will go to projects which address these two priorities.
-
Arts and Wellbeing
- Participating in the arts is increasingly recognised as being good for you. The last few years have been physically and mentally challenging for many people and the arts are proven to be a great way to build resilience, connections and wellbeing.
- This priority encourages applicants to think about the potential for wellbeing outcomes through their projects.
- Does your project include opportunities for collaboration and relationship building? Does it involve groups or people who are in need of support and connection?
- NB – If your project involves mental health issues or engages with groups such as young people, children, people with a disability, First Nations people, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people or Seniors you will need to show that you have suitable level of skills and experience in these areas or that your project will partner with an organisation that does.
-
The Next Step
- Artist’s careers are always developing and growing and sometimes they all need a little bit of help to get to the next stage.
- This priority encourages applicants to think about where they currently are at in their arts practice, where they want to be next, and what they need to do to get to the next step.
- Suitable project ideas for this priority include collaborations, mentorships, residencies, learning new skills and developing your creative practice.
- NB – RADF grants cannot be used to support accredited courses.
Note: Projects do not have to address these two priority areas to be eligible to apply for RADF funding.
