The Royal Borough of Greenwich has announced the applications for Voluntary and Community Sector Grant to support VCS groups to meet the needs, and strive to improve the quality of life, of all residents of the Borough.
The grant aims to support community groups by providing funding that can promote and improve their services.
The Voluntary and Community Sector will be vital in delivering change and improvement across this agenda, providing important channels around messaging, role modelling of good practice, provision of services, and enabling and supporting community and public engagement to shape local work.
Categories
Community groups in the borough will be able to bid for funding for support in the following categories:
- Community Centres
- Voluntary and Community Sector Development and Support
- Volunteering
- Advice Services
- Strategic Equalities
- Night Shelter Support
- Creativity for Everyone: Building their Creative Community
- Targeted Support for Children who Care – Young Carers
- Perinatal Mental Health Support
- Lower-Level Mental Health Support – Mild-Moderate
- Voluntary support for families known to Social Care
- Education Recovery – Closing the Gap in Achievement
- ASD and ADHD Support
- Detached Youth Support
- Children and young people affected by domestic abuse
- Strength in People
- Strength in Communities
- Strength in Diversity
- Domestic Abuse Services
Funding Information
£3.6 million of funding available.
Eligibility Criteria
They will be checking that your organisation meets the following criteria:
- Is a non-statutory organization
- Is formally constituted
- Operates in the not for profit sector
- Has a properly elected management committee
- Operates in the Royal Borough of Greenwich
Ineligible
The following will not be considered for funding:
- Private groups or Companies
- Profit making or trading arms of organisations
- Groups seeking funding for the purposes of fundraising or to redistribute
- Political Parties or organisations intending to support or oppose political activity and/or campaigns
- Churches or religious organisations (if the activity is intended to promote the religion itself, or if people must take part in religious services in order to benefit)
- Organisations where ‘campaigning’ is the main purpose or activity, except local groups addressing specific health and social inequalities
