Tipperary County Council has announced two bursaries to support artists attending the BLAS International Summer School of Irish Traditional Music and Dance at the University of Limerick.
These bursaries aim to promote the professional development of artists working in Irish traditional arts by supporting participation in high-quality, immersive training.
Purpose of the Bursaries
The bursaries are designed to help artists further develop their skills through structured learning and cultural engagement.
Each award covers one week of tuition at the BLAS summer school, including a one-week intensive programme of masterclasses, Irish language sessions, lectures, and concerts.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be resident within the Tipperary administrative area.
They should have achieved at least an intermediate level of proficiency in their chosen discipline, such as music, song, or dance.
Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age by 1 June 2026.
Financial Support Details
Two bursaries are available under this call.
Each bursary covers the full cost of one week’s tuition at the BLAS Summer School.
Payments will be made directly to the Blas International Summer School of Irish Traditional Music and Dance and not to individual applicants.

Completed applications must be submitted by 12 noon on Thursday, 26 March 2026.
