Deadline: 03-Oct-2025
The Compton Fund offers grants of between £500 and £5,000 for arts, culture, and heritage projects across Northamptonshire.
It is managed by the Northamptonshire Community Foundation and is designed to help small, locally managed voluntary, community, or self-help groups bring creative ideas to life within their communities.
To be eligible, groups must be based in Northamptonshire and run by volunteers beyond just the management committee. Applicants need a constitution or written rules (including a dissolution clause), a community bank account with two signatories, and policies for child protection or the protection of vulnerable people if those are relevant to their work. Projects must focus on arts, culture, or heritage and align with the fund’s priorities.
While applications are not always open, guidelines suggest speaking with the Grants Team if you want to check your project idea or eligibility. The fund supports groups who may need guidance in preparing their application, and draft applications can be reviewed in advance.
This opportunity is perfect for locally rooted creative groups wishing to enhance cultural life, preserve heritage, or build arts experiences within Northamptonshire, particularly when larger funding is not available. It offers a chance to showcase local talent, bring people together, and make a meaningful cultural impact.
