Nominations are now open for BCX Digital Innovation Awards to recognise Digital Innovation Excellence in Large, Medium, and Small South African enterprises.
What type of innovation are they looking for?
- They are looking for Digital Innovation in any industry sector that has used technology to improve an existing process or product or to develop an entirely new process or product.
- They are looking for innovations that have achieved remarkable results, meeting planned company KPI and if possible, making a difference within South Africa.
Categories & Prizes
The BCX Digital Innovation Awards have two categories:
- Category 1: Small, Medium Enterprise
- This category is open to all South African SME’s who comply with the following 7 points:
- The entrant must be a South African company.
- There must be fewer than 200 employees.
- Annual turnover of less than R64 million.
- Capital assets of less than R10 million.
- There must be direct managerial involvement by owners.
- In operation for more than a year.
- The innovation submitted is currently operational.
- Prizes
- A potential partnership opportunity with BCX.
- Business in a Box (Work from Home kit)
- Trophy and Title
- Certificate
- Digital Badge
- Category 2: Large Enterprise
- This category is open to all South African Large Enterprises who comply with the following 6 points:
- The entrant must be a South African Company.
- Over 200 employees.
- Annual turnover above R64 million,
- Capital assets of more than R10 million.
- In operation for more than a year
- The innovation submitted is currently operational
- Prizes
- A choice between a Digital Innovation Facilitated Workshop around a business challenge or opportunity of your choosing OR a software development program with a fixed number of hours.
- Trophy and Title
- Certificate
- Digital Badge
Eligibility Criteria
The awards are open to Small, Medium or Large Enterprises which meet the following requirements:
- The entering organisation must be a South African Enterprise (Registered in SA). Public or Private enterprise with a CIPC enterprise number.
- Submissions must demonstrate the use of technology to innovate.
- Submissions must demonstrate how the digital innovation has added value to the enterprise and/or South African society.
- The innovations submitted should not be older than 7 years.
- Innovations submitted must be in use and operational.
