UNITAR Hiroshima is launching a revised online training programme titled UNITAR Building Bridges: Entrepreneurship and Project Planning in South Sudan for men and women in South Sudan, focusing to build knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for effective entrepreneurship, project management, and leadership of junior-mid level professionals from the public sector, private sector, academia, media, and civil society organizations in South Sudan.
The programme is being conducted with the support of the Governments of Japan andof the Republic of South Sudan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, South Sudanis the political focal point for the programme and the Ministry of Labour, Public Serviceand Human Resource Development, South Sudanis the operational focal point.
The UNITAR Building Bridges: Entrepreneurship and Project Planning in South Sudan programme seeks to equip participants with key skills that can transform ideas into action. The programme will target about 75 representatives from the countryfor the online training, including members of Small and Medium Enterprises, government agencies, academic institutions, media, and NGOs.
Eligibility Criteria
Participants will be selected through an open call for applications based on specific criteria including:
- Male and Female candidates aged over 18 up to 40 years old;
- Geographical and sectoral representation within the country;
- Deep interest in Project Management, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership;
- Good oral and written English skills;
- Keen passion to learn by doing and highly motivated to succeed to provide a positive impact to the society; and
- Possessing a Personal Computer or smartphone to access e-learning courses and lessons.
The application process is open to all organizations and institutions invited to participate in the programme. The programme will be delivered in English and carried out online, incorporating asynchronous courses and a series of webinars delivered by the national coaching team and expert facilitators.
