The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) invites applicants for its Refugee program. The program aims to quickly prepare studierfähige refugees to study in Germany and in the location of the university and the university integrate.
Program Structure
- Through the program, the use of student assistants can be promoted, either in self-organized initiatives by student groups or activities, organized by the university support and integration of college-refugees involved (eg tutorials, preparation of information materials, mentoring, translations, language training). Here foreign students can be used with appropriate language skills or students with experience abroad in particular. The focus must be on measures aimed at the integration of refugees into the study and the university.
- It can also be promoted initiatives, in which the expertise of individual faculties is used (eg legal advice of refugees by students in so-called. Law Clinics) where the measures of university teachers in each discipline are cared for professionally.
Program Benefits
The use of student assistants (8-10 hours per week) is for students in Bachelor of Science with a lump sum of monthly 600 euros and for students in the Master program funded with 750 euros per month.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include the International Offices / International Offices or relevant central bodies of the state and state-recognized universities.
