The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking concept papers from qualified organizations to strengthen the role of community engagement in health and local systems towards enhancing and expanding on existing efforts in order to mount an effective response to the Zika virus in the Latin America/Caribbean (LAC) region.

- Social and Behavior Change Interventions Focusing on Engaging and Empowering
- Marginalized and Vulnerable Communities
- Community-based surveillance
Funding Information
- USAID anticipates making multiple awards subject to the availability of funds.
- USAID may fund up to $5 million for each country in the applicant’s approach.
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-Federal Entities (referred to as U.S. NGOs) – U.S. NGOs that meet the definitions in 2 CFR 200.69.
- Non-profit Organizations (also referred to as U.S. NGOs) – U.S. non-profit organizations that meet the definition in 2 CFR 200.70.
- Foreign Entities (referred to as non-U.S. NGOs) – either non-profit or for profit organizations not affiliated with a foreign government that meet the definition in 2 CFR 200.47.
- Individuals and governments are NOT eligible to apply.
- USAID welcomes applications from organizations that have not previously worked with the Agency.
