UNICEF is inviting young people to participate in a Billion Brains’ 3rd Asia Pacific High-Level Meeting on Child Rights (HLM3) Youth Innovation Challenge to share their ideas to improve the lives of children.
By finding creative and impactful solutions to improve the lives of children, participants are doing both social and economic “good” – investing in their lives and the long-term economic growth of their country.
Hosted every three years by a different country, the Government of Malaysia will hold the 3rd High Level Meeting on Child Rights (HLM3) in Kuala Lumpur this year on November 7-8 November 2016.
Thematic Areas
HLM3 will address and promote child rights around three key themes:
- Universal health coverage
- Violence against children
- Social protection for families

Shortlisted participants get to attend our fully-funded Innovation Bootcamp in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with other changemakers from across the Asia-Pacific region. - Pitch to senior Government officials
Top ideas from the Innovation Bootcamp will pitch to senior government officials at the Third Asia-Pacific High-Level Meeting on Child Rights (HLM3) - Get seed funding to take the idea forward
Winners will receive seed money to help implement their solutions in their home country and follow-up mentorship
Eligibility Criteria
Challenge participant should:
- Be 24 years old or younger
- Have good English comprehension and communication skills (English is the official language of all Challenge-related communication).
- Be a legal resident of participating countries in Southern Asia and East Asia Pacific.
- Have a valid email address.
