Deadline: 31-Oct-2025
The Kingsley Community Fund, established in 2017 from the sale of the former youth and community centre, is dedicated to supporting the parish of Kingsley, with a strong focus on initiatives that benefit children and young people.
Staying true to the original purpose of the centre, the fund aims to strengthen community life and create opportunities for local residents, especially the younger generation.
The fund offers two levels of financial support to eligible organisations. The first tier provides grants of up to £1,000, which can be applied for directly. The second tier supports larger projects with grants of up to £20,000, but applicants must first consult with the Community Foundation before submitting a proposal. This ensures that larger projects are well-planned and have strong foundations for success, such as business plans, community consultation evidence, and, where applicable, architectural plans and permissions for development.
Funding is primarily directed towards capital projects—work on buildings and equipment—that will enhance local facilities or make organisations more effective and sustainable. While operational and running costs are generally not covered, projects involving the expansion of existing services may be considered. The fund is designed to help organisations increase their service provision, improve their efficiency and resilience, and deliver facilities that directly benefit the Kingsley community.
To be eligible, applicants must be constituted community or voluntary groups, registered charities, or social enterprises with a proven track record of delivering services for at least 12 months. The fund does not support unconstituted groups, new organisations without a history of service delivery, statutory bodies, or private businesses without charitable aims. Only projects that serve people living in the parish of Kingsley, within the Staffordshire Moorlands, will be considered, with a strong preference given to those aimed at children and young people.
