- Interested parties can submit their proposals via online Intent to Apply Form.

This includes novel solutions that seek to inform and transform policy and practice, addressing the needs identified by healthcare institutions or partners.
- Solutions that seek to deliver positive healthcare outcomes (e.g. reduced patient recovery duration, increased affordability of treatment, reduced burden for caregivers) in the following areas along the continuum of care could be considered:
- Detection, Screening and Diagnosis
- Treatments (including surgical procedures, medical devices and rehabilitation)
- Improvements to Well-Being (including infection control)
- Temasek Foundation does not provide funding for early research studies, research evaluation, productivity enhancements in care delivery workflow, job automation, nor training programmes and pedagogies.
- Solutions should preferably be at a stage of conducting an implementation trial within the healthcare system i.e. Healthcare Translational Level 3 (T3) and beyond, to translate research to practice.
- Solutions that have secured implementation partners (e.g. healthcare clusters, community hospitals and nursing homes), are economically sustainable and benefit a large population segment will have an added advantage when assessed in competition with others.
- Solutions can originate from within or outside Singapore, but they have to be pilot-tested in Singapore.
- The Lead Principal Investigator of the programme/project should ideally be based in Singapore.
- Solutions will be assessed in the following context:
- Desirability: Does the solution have a sizeable number of target beneficiaries in Singapore? How effective and impactful is the solution to deliver positive healthcare outcomes? How does the solution complement existing care and support mechanisms?
- Feasibility: Has the Proof-of-Concept and clinical trials been demonstrated? Is the solution sufficiently mature (i.e. Healthcare Translational Level 3 and beyond)? How well does the solution fare against competing technologies? How will any safety, ethics or regulatory requirements be addressed?
- Viability: Is the solution commercially viable? Can the solution or technology translate into actual implementation at a systems level (e.g. innovative protocol and/or business model)? Does the solution inform and transform healthcare practice or policy norms?
- One assessment consideration is whether applicants have applied for funding from other grant institutions. Temasek Foundation may seek verification from applicants for the proof of application to other institutions, where applicable.
