Deadline: 30-Jun-25
The Work Together Foundation of Korea has opened applications for the 10th round of its Smile Together Partnership Fund, welcoming proposals aimed at reducing child poverty through social enterprise or non-profit initiatives in developing countries.
This year’s grants are available to both domestic and international organizations, provided that their work targets developing regions and centers on sustainable, community-focused impact. The projects should run from October 2025 to September 2026, offering a one-year window for implementation and measurable outcomes.
Each selected organization will receive approximately USD 20,000, determined based on the submitted project plan and budget requirements.
Beyond financial aid, grantees benefit from pro bono professional consulting services from the business sector, promotional assistance, and access to networking events under the “Happily Ever After” project—designed to enhance long-term financial sustainability and visibility for each initiative.
To apply, interested entities must submit their proposals between May 19 and June 30, 2025 via an online Google Form. All documents—including the project proposal, organizational budget overview, financial statements for the past three years, and legal registration details—can be submitted in English or Korean, though the chosen language must be used consistently throughout all documentation. Organizations must be legally registered or commit to completing registration before the funding agreement is finalized.
The selection process involves a rigorous two-stage review: an initial document screening followed by due diligence and interviews, conducted either online or in person. Eligible applicants—whether social enterprises or civil society organizations—must demonstrate clear plans for addressing child poverty with a sustainable model.
The criteria for evaluation focus on the relevance of the social issue, clarity and viability of the project model, financial planning, sustainability, and the organization’s ability to promote and publicize its participation in the Smile Together Partnership.
Origins of the Smile Together Partnership trace back to the Foundation’s commitment to nurturing social enterprises and non-profit initiatives that create lasting social and economic outcomes.
To date, the program has supported over 100 social enterprises, facilitated creation of approximately 6,500 jobs, and reached nearly 94,000 applicants through its broader support activities.
It has also channeled over USD 3.7 million in support to date, reflecting its growing impact across developing regions in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Applicants from countries listed in the Development Assistance Committee’s list of eligible economies—including low‑ and lower-middle income countries—are encouraged to apply.
The initiative is particularly aligned with global objectives like the Sustainable Development Goals, especially those targeting poverty reduction, decent work, and quality education.
The Smile Together Partnership Fund is more than a funding opportunity—it’s a platform for social entrepreneurship and collaborative growth. It equips grassroots organizations with not just financial backing, but mentorship, visibility, and networking resources necessary for long-term growth.
If your organization is working on social enterprise solutions to improve children’s lives and economic prospects, this grant can provide the boost needed to scale your impact effectively.
