Ann McGeeney Trust Fund is welcoming applications from individuals, community and voluntary groups.
Focus Areas
- Integration of ethnic minorities into communities with special emphasis on women within these communities
- Women working on peace building within and across communities
- Women working to strengthen and build communities
Funding Information
Grants will not normally exceed £1000/€1000
Funding Criteria
The Foundation will not fund organisations or activities which promote causes that are contrary to their purposes. Causes and activities that are contrary to their purposes include, but may not be limited to, those outlined in their investment policy. They will not therefore fund organisations or activities which they determine are linked to the promotion of armaments, alcohol, human rights abuses, tobacco or pornography.
In addition the Ann McGeeney Trust Fund will not support:
- Holidays or trips outside Ireland
- Salaries
- Running costs of large organisations
- Promotion of religion
- Applications from statutory organisations
- Activities or initiatives which should be statutory obligations
- Political parties
- Contributions to capital projects
Eligibility Criteria
- Funding will be available to individuals and local community organisations that are planned and run for the benefit of communities in Northern Ireland and ROI (Republic of Ireland), including cross border initiatives.
- In additional International initiatives may be eligible, providing they are in keeping with the purposes of the fund.
- Applicants are a locally based not-for-profit, voluntary or community group working in Northern Ireland to improve the quality of life for local people
- Applicants have an active management committee, with no two related cheque signatories
- Applicants have a governing document, i.e. Constitution in the name of the applicant organisation
- Applicants have a current bank account in the name of their organisation
- Applicants have up to date annual accounts
- Applicants have complied with the conditions of previous grants including submission of monitoring returns.
