Deadline: 26-Jul-24

The Non-governmental organisations worldwide operating football-related social projects are invited to apply for FIFA Foundation Community Programme.

The aim of the FIFA Foundation Community Programme is to support well-established, non-profit organisations that use football to address the most pressing global challenges affecting underprivileged children and young people, contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To this end, the FIFA Foundation provides yearly financial support to cover a wide range of costs, including programme-related and institutional costs, as well as costs connected with projects, initiatives, events and workshops.

The programme seeks to engage with NGOs in a variety of initiatives that contribute to good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, no poverty, reduced inequalities, peace, justice and strong institutions, as well as to the promotion of decent work and economic growth. NGOs are encouraged to showcase how they use football to tackle social issues and bring about positive social change. The comprehensive selection process involves strict eligibility criteria and requires organisations to submit an extensive range of supporting documentation in the areas of finance and child protection.

The FIFA Foundation will be delivering two online capacity-building workshops to assist interested parties with the application process. The first workshop will cover the process in general terms and the financial aspects, while the second will deal with safeguarding and the criteria each applying organisation must meet in order to be considered for the programme.
