Funding Information
- The total amount of the grant is the maximum subsidy amount will be 300 million yen, with the subsidy amount per project being in increments of 10,000 yen, up to a maximum of 3 million yen.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Foundation’s grants are intended for projects planned by private organizations engaged in social welfare activities in Japan (purchase of vehicles, supplies, equipment, etc., facility renovations, events/lectures, publications, research, etc.) that meet the following criteria:
- In principle, applicants (implementing organizations) must be non-profit organizations
- such as social welfare organizations and NPOs (however, even if they are not corporations, organizations that have a track record of continuous activities for more than three years and are engaged in organized activities are eligible).
- The project must have a clear objective, and the implementing body, content, and duration must be clear (if the content is deemed inconsistent, the project will not be adopted).
- The project is scheduled to be completed
- (projects that are to be implemented and completed within the one-year period from December 2025 to the end of November 2026 are eligible).
- It is not a reimbursement for general expenses such as rent, utilities, or labor costs.
- The project you are applying for cannot be expected to receive public subsidies from the national or local government, and cannot overlap with grants from other private organizations (including crowdfunding and donations). (It is okay for an organization to receive government subsidies or other private grants for a project or project other than the one for which it is applying.)
Selection Criteria
- In the selection process, they will place importance on and take into consideration the following points:
- In addition to existing social welfare areas (disabilities, elderly people, children and young people), there are issues that are thought to be beyond the reach of the government, such as support for social withdrawal, support for people living in poverty, children’s (local) cafeterias, women’s protection, and local community activities.
- Cases of high urgency and importance.
- This project will help improve the environment and work efficiency of people working in social welfare projects.
- This is a pioneering and unique project that is expected to have a ripple effect on improving and enriching social welfare.
- Applications from organizations that have received grant funding from the Fund within the last three fiscal years will be given lower priority.
- Cases involving disaster-affected organisations will be given higher priority.
