The Prince Claus Fund together with the AM Qattan Foundation is currently accepting applications for its program entitled “SELAT: Links through the Arts”.
“SELAT: Links through the Arts” is a project launched in 2012 by the AM Qattan Foundation (Palestine) in partnership with the Prince Claus Fund (Netherlands) to support and fund new cultural and artistic projects in Lebanon that contribute to the enhancement of cultural and artistic life among Palestinian refugees and to strengthening their bonds with the Lebanese society through culture and the arts.
Objectives
Priority shall be given to projects that would contribute to some or all of the following objectives:
- Developing innovative cultural initiatives in the Palestinian camps in Lebanon.
- Developing interventions which focus on professional capacity building among Palestinians in Lebanon, through training and / or technical supervision.
- Creating opportunities and promoting cultural and artistic activities among the refugees in the Palestinian camps in Lebanon.
- Raising critical awareness and discussion on cultural topics of special importance to the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
- Implementing projects that promote dialogue and constructive communication between the Palestinian refugees and Lebanese society.
- Strengthening the bonds of cooperation and professional interaction and networking between Palestinians and Lebanese working in the cultural and artistic field in Lebanon.
Grant Information
The amount of funding is 15,000 euros per grant.
Eligibility Criteria
- This Call invites cultural and artistic institutions working in Lebanon to apply for grants for new cultural and artistic projects aimed at enhancing the cultural life within the Palestinian communities in Lebanon through contributing to their capacity building in the cultural field and strengthening links with their peers in the local Lebanese community, thus growing more opportunities for technical and professional cooperation.
- Independent initiatives or groups may apply for this grant, but under the umbrella of an active cultural institution registered in Lebanon.
