The NSW Government is excited to announce the Round 2 of Arts and Cultural Funding Program for Creative Koori Project.
Creative Koori Projects funding is open to Aboriginal artists, arts and cultural workers, groups, and organisations.
It aims to support a strong, resilient, and creative Aboriginal arts and cultural sector for NSW. This will be done by embracing the principles of Aboriginal self-determination and putting Aboriginal artists, arts and cultural workers, organisations, and communities at the centre of funded activity.

- Creative Koori Funding is available for projects up to $60,000
What can you apply for?

Funding may be requested for a range of arts and cultural activities including (but not limited to):
- Creative development
- Public presentation
- Commissioning professional artists
- Community collaborations/partnerships
- Research and/or development
- Audience engagement.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible to for Creative Koori Projects funding, you need to meet the following criteria:
- An Aboriginal individual or a group of Aboriginal individuals based in NSW or
- An Aboriginal owned/operated organisation based in NSW
- Have resided in NSW over the last 12 months.
- Project focus: Your project must be a clearly defined arts and cultural activity.

Your project must benefit NSW by either:
- Employing NSW-based Aboriginal practicing artists and/or arts/ cultural workers; and/or
- Providing arts and cultural experiences to NSW Aboriginal communities and/or audiences.

Your project must benefit NSW by either:
Ineligible

You cannot apply if you:
- Are not an Aboriginal person, group, or an Aboriginal owned/operated organisation
- Have received Create NSW funding for the same project
- Do not meet the ABN requirements
- Funds being used for filmmaking, screen production, mainstream animation, or film festivals
- Are a current employee of Create NSW (note in addition, Create NSW employees cannot benefit from this funding round)
- Have been employed by Create NSW within the last 6 months.
