The United States Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management is seeking applications from the eligible organisations for a program entitled “Land and Water Conservation Fund Conservation Easement Management” with an aim to conserve and enhance significant scenic, recreational, and wildlife resources within the Snake River corridors and Henry’s Lake Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC), predominately through the acquisition of conservation easements.
The nonprofit conservation partners share a common goal with BLM and are willing to share long term stewardship responsibilities for the conservation easement properties.
Objectives
- Protect and enhance ecological values on the Snake River and Henry’s Lake.
- Provide enhanced opportunities for open space and recreation.
- Conserve and enhance significant scenic, recreational, and wildlife resources within the Snake River corridors and Henry’s Lake ACEC, through the acquisitions of conservation easements.
Funding Information: The total funding expected to be awarded through this Announcement is$75,000
